Hi there! I'm so glad you've found your way to my blog. Whether you are a long-time fan of mine or have just discovered my work, I am beyond happy to have you here. For those of you who are unfamiliar with me, allow me to answer some of the questions I get asked most frequently about selling art. Hopefully, this will give you increased insight into who I am and what I can do for you.

How Did You Learn to Paint?

I am proud to be self-taught. My love of the illustrious work of the impressionist masters of the past led me to attempt to follow in their footsteps. My influences include Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet, Degas and more. I strive to utilize their expert techniques while putting my own unique spin on the impressionist style. In my opinion, the end result is the perfect balance between classic technique and modern flair. I am constantly working to improve my skills, experimenting with different techniques and media to add even more diversity to my work.

Where Do You Find Inspiration?

The general answer to this question is everywhere but to be a bit more specific, I find myself drawn to landscapes and still lifes. Oftentimes, an interesting color combination will catch my eye and that will serve as the starting point for a painting. I look at the up-close view first before expanding that out to create a full painting.

I have been lucky enough to have the chance to travel the world, and I often draw inspiration from my travels. I'm an avid photographer and love to capture images to remind me of my adventures. Once I get back home, I can look back through those photos for inspiration for my paintings. Of course, my memory of each place changes over time, giving me the chance to make each image my own. Though many of my paintings are inspired by real locations, I use my imagination to add that extra special touch.

Where Can I Buy Your Paintings?

Currently, you can browse through my available paintings right here on my website. Throughout central Texas, please contact my friends and long time purveyor of my work NEST Modern in Austin. You'll find a variety of paintings featuring different colors and moods both ways. If you are a fan of the impressionist style, you are sure to find something in my gallery to complement your decor as you add to your personal art collection. If you love abstract art, my new work is very strong and contemporary. I got my start selling art in coffee shops and consignment stores, so on occasion I still 'pop up' in different high end retail venues.

Do You Paint Custom Works?

Yes, I do! I am always happy to work with clients to create custom paintings. This includes both businesses and private individuals. I'll work closely with you to get a sense of what you are looking for so that I can come back to you with a few concepts. We'll continue to work together to refine the concept so I can deliver exactly what you have in mind. My goal is to help bring your vision to life. It all starts with a free consultation to discuss your ideas, and there is no obligation at that point.

How Can I Learn More?

I would love the chance to tell you more about myself and my work, so don't be shy about reaching out. Whether you would like to commission a painting or simply want to chat about the art world, you'll find that I am always friendly and ready to talk. Get in touch with me today to learn more about my work and how I can help you enhance your art collection.
